Mood issues on this medication include increased agitation and anxiety. The same protocol applies to the development of new seizures!

Older adults must watch out for other side effects as well. The sedation from this medication lasts longer for them! They are also at a higher risk of falls. This is because the drug increases drowsiness and muscle weakness. Coordination loss is another side effect that increases the risk of falls in seniors.
